Remembering Jean Vanier

The son of Major-General Georges Vanier, the 19th Governor General of Canada, Jean Vanier was known most for his founding of and his work and life at the L'Arche Community.  A man who lived his faith, Mr. Vanier died today a few months before his 91st birthday.

To learn more about his work and the Community -- which eventually spread around the globe -- visit the L'Arche Canada website HERE.

To listen to him speak about his life and work, go to his interview with Krista Tippett of the On Being Project HERE.  Entitled The Wisdom of Tenderness, it is an inspiring, enlightening and encouraging conversation -- and leaves no doubt that Mr. Vanier's light in this world will be very much missed.

Time to Hit the Road!

Despite the snow, Spring really has arrived in Central Alberta -- and with it, the Annual Highway Clean up!  Hope by now you've signed on to be a 'driver', a 'picker' and a 'grinner'.  😉

When? Saturday, May 4, May 11, 2019.

Where? Meet at the church at 8:00 a.m.

What? Gloves, bags and safety vests provided.
There'll be a map so you can find your 'picking grounds'.

Food? We're Anglicans; there's always food!
Meet back at the church at noon for chili and buns,
thanks to Sheila C.

See you on the road!
