Music for Epiphany

Adoration of the Magi - Gentile da Fabriano, ca. 1423

January 6 is celebrated in the Western Christian church as the Feast of Epiphany -- the revelation of the Christ to the Gentiles, represented in Scripture as the Magi (see the Gospel for January 5, 2020 -- Matthew 2:1-12).

Though absent from our current Common Praise hymnal, those of us of a certain age grew up with the carol "We Three Kings" that was sung at this time of year.  Today for your reflection and celebration of this joyous revelation, here it is, from the choir of St. Mark's Cathedral in Seattle, J. Melvin (Mel) Butler directing; the organist is Thomas Joyce.
